Romesco sauce is a typical sauce from Catalonia, specifically from Cambrils, Tarragona. It is made with tomatoes, onions, ñora (a type of red pepper), dried chilli pepper, and toasted almonds and hazelnuts. As usually happens with popular dishes, there are almost as many versions as there are cooks. Our romesco sauce gives the consumer none other than the essential flavor of this mythical sauce.
Romesco sauce has the splendid ability to make any salad or vegetable absolutely delicious. There is no doubt it is ideal for serving with "calçots" (grilled spring onions).
